Future Plans

BookHere it is, finally! I have been dreading this for years and I think it would be great project for me. Once in a while I will be reviewing my Pick of the Week — either a book I finished reading or a movie I recently watched or anything I have gone through as long as it is review-able.

I am planning, if I could possibly do it, twice a week or at the least once a week as long as I have spare time. I wanted to do this because I want to share the pleasure I achieved when I read books or watch movies. They are my pleasure blankets and sharing it with others would be great.

I have read a lot of books of wide scope: classics, thriller, fantasy, science fiction, books for teens, horror, poetry, children’s books and many others. The same apply with my scope of movies. I even enjoyed both reading and watching a creation with book and movie versions.

I am open and matured enough to understand that movies and books would be different. I don’t bicker, anymore, when ever scenes are shortened or were inappropriately changed. Thats the difference of the two media — some factors or one form may not be applicable to the other or the other way around and that’s a fact.

Even so, I enjoy the differences in both media. That’s why  — if its possible that I enjoyed it –  others might do enjoy it as well. After all, diverse may be our personalities it is not impossible that we may coincide with certain matters. What a great joy would it bring if there are real means to share these similarities.

Lastly, I am hoping that you will love my new brew of blogging project. I will do the best that I could to inform but not spoil you of the information I learned out of my books and movies. I really look forward to make my first review. I am also looking forward to make it a fruitful endeavor.

The Old Times

MosaicThe interweaving of lives present in my college years is like a pattern made by millions of pixels to recreate a new image. It is like a mosaic  composed of tiny separate blocks of colors to initialize a new vision. It is what I experienced with my classmates — my comrades and companions in facing College.

In the class there may be diverse groups, but by unity and purpose we are one. We co-mingle with each other in a harmonious weaving of tapestry and not the other way around. We are composed of many groups — boys and girls alike. But this grouping is according to what we primarily saw through the strata made by thesis organization.

Leizel - Charmen - Cecile - Dz Mae - Kristine:
Kikay Girls is their name, fashion is their game. Composed of five lovely ladies, they are pregnant with charms and glitters. Their group is as colorful as their garments. Spotlights chased there presence, but they are still rooted to the ground with humility. Strifes are oftentimes arising in their midst but not one of it escapes with a bad result. All is well as long as fashion statement is well.

Nico - Jeff - He - Gepee - Fitz:
The Flash Boys may seem to wander here to there, but they are surprisingly sticking to there aim. And fabulously they have concocted an application worthy of praise and glory. They may had been parted at times of trouble but mostly they are strengthened by it. They seem jolly-good-folks but they are taking things seriously. And through these they garnered the honor fit for their struggle.

John Ryan - Justin - Michael - Carlo - GM:
The mighty team of Ancient Lords equipped with "Blender" weapon are ready to face for battle. Named after their great weapon, they call themselves as Blender Boys. They come through thick and thins and has sauntered down an ocean but with great struggle and pursuit they finally reached the surface. They have proven their strengths and they were rewarded by the fulfillment of their aims.

Sierre - Rose - Eaves - April - Donah:
Give way, give way to the amazons of the Earth - The Geo Phil Girls. They are hot with ideas. They are full of skills and they are impregnated with talents. They are silent but they come in fierce assault. They where humble but they attacked with great precision. They where girls but they are as mighty as the gods of the Olympus.  Praise be unto them.

Jennylyn - Noemi - NiƱo - Carmela - Remon:
The Silent Ones I call them — comprising the team of the extreme. They are not the mediocre and they are not lame. They are stronger than anyone would have thought. Slow paced but with great results, this team has exceeded the expectations when they hit the mark. For them one Bull’s-eye stroke is better than a hundred misses.

Jehu - Madona - Daryl - Shiela:
The team of superior thinking. The group of Organized tasking. The team you will ever dream of. Yes, everyone, they are the team of the teams. Although I can’t still grip the fact that the call themselves Coffee Babies. Harhar… Makes me smile at times. BUT and surely a big but — they are a great team with a great leader and wonderful members. (Remember "wonderful!" Harhar.)

John Ross(me) - Ireene - Mark - Darcy - Helen:
Cover your eyes for you might be blinded with their dazzling light. Cover your ears for you might be defeaned by the crowds’ thundering applause. Protect yourselves for you might be crushed by the stampeding crowd. Unfortunately that is not for us. All-Star Team may be our name but the real score is that we really are the opposite — the dirt of the community. But in the end we have made our fight and we have triumphed. (Maybe we are really Stars! - for we have won).

Yes everyone it is us and nothing but us. It was our story interlacing like the threads of fate. We are the strata that composed the community. We are the stars that lightened the galaxy. We are the planets that completed the solar system. We are the BSIT Batch 2007 that gave pride to our dear University. Our Alma Mater - West Visayas State  University.

October: Way too Long

I am a Christian and I do acknowledge Christmas day. More so, I can’t always wait till the day it will come. That’s why I always thought that October is way too long for me. It adds more days to my waiting; better be November for there are a lot of non-working Holidays so I can relax. But I can’t seem to grip the fact that I will be waiting for too long moments before October would end.

Due to its lengthy duration many events would surely come up that would catch my attention. Barangay Election is one and there are still many more to come. The current government regime seems to have a fall-down state brought about by scandalous revelations and petty accusations. What was really the truth behind the lousy Impeachment accusation?  Was it really done for its real purpose — that is to prosecute the official concerned or was it really to assure another year of governance.

I have no prejudice with the government and I don’t condemn the present officials. No matter how many officials we place in that position they are just the same. They are all sheep with similar quality of wool. They are clothed with similar quality of threads used. So in this connection, I can’t seem to condemn one and praise another for they are just the same.

I can’t deny that I am a beneficiary of at least one of the governments services. I was a scholar and I am glad that I became one. I can surely say that it exceeded my expectations and the real fact that it was not a lousy one — for there is no scholarship that is lousy; they are all great, owing to the value of there real purpose.  So it is justly to say that no matter how disagreeable the officials that fore run our country as long as many useful projects are in I have no comment.

I my self can’t have a firm stand on this issue for every coin has its two faces. We should not judge for we ourselves have lapses toward our country. We should not blame the failure of the leaders our country unless, we, ourselves, have done something to uplift its standing. And lastly we must not blame the officials that govern us for it is the majority of us who chose that certain official to govern over us — the blame is on us all, the voters.

So this coming Barangay election: Vote Wisely.
