September is come!

My most awaited month of the year has arrived and I am very happy about it. Not just that it is my birth month, but it is also the the start of something flaky and cold: Yes everyone… It’s BER months and it only meant one thing, Christmas Time is near.

The opening day of the month made me shiver from joy… Joy that I will be having my birthday debut this month and I knew that something big and great will come. Maybe it’s just hysteria, but no it is the fact.

But amidst the peak of my joy comes the realization that many dreadful things have occurred. First in the list are the showbiz thingy about the Willie-Joey On-Cam strife. That was hilarious for me. What happened is just a technical problem and it grew to a more complex issue.

Secondly the ERAP verdict has been announced… GUILTY! A forty-year imprisonment was found enough for the former President to serve and pay for his misconducts towards our nation. Many have sympathized for the celebrated former President and still many has condemned him. My only say to this issue is Erap’s one and only crime is: he allowed someone to discover his actions. After all what he has done is an old issue — only… many are expert on hiding it.

Then again two warships – USS Milius &  –USS Chung-Hoon (as a goodwill visit and to conduct community projects) arrived in the Philippines. Is it really only
coincidental that the American warships arrived the same day the
Sandiganbayan rendered its guilty verdict on the plunder case of former
president Joseph Estrada. Or is it a move to help maintain, if ever another set of rally occurs, peace and order.

And again the September 11 Twin Tower Bombing has cycled to commemorate its own anniversary. "Remembering Lives Lost And Heroic Sacrifices Made" was its main slogan for the sixth year anniversary of the drastic event we all remembered. Many relatives of the slain visited the GroundZero and brought flowers as offerings. Still, as I always say, ‘Our story doesn’t end there.’ There is hope.

Jose Maria Singson, the founding chairman of the Communist Party of the Philippines, was another figure. It has been recently reported that he was caught in the Dutch territory and will appear Friday before the Dutch “Raadkamer,” a kind of
deliberating chamber consisting of three judges, to determine if he
will remain in jail for allegedly ordering the assassination of two
former comrades in the Philippine communist underground movement. Currently,
Sison is detained at the Hague prison in Scheveningen.

Another Political issue is the rising star Commission
on Elections (COMELEC) Chairman Benjamin Abalos Sr., who has been
accused by Nueva Ecija Rep. Carlos Padilla of getting lavish perks for
brokering the broadband deal. And according to the ABS-CBN Interactive site:
Foreign businessmen express "extreme concern." On the bright side there is still hope that the deal will not be canceled. Move on Philippines..

Along the the intensifying force of the Falcon typhoon many a terrorist threats and risks are becoming publicized. Even foreign countries are warning Australian citizens staying in Manila and Mindanao of probable hostile attacks ( from Australia) that they must exercise “high degree of caution.” It is back to back with MILF’s rejection to the government’s offer autonomy on their peace negotiations.

Many more events have happened and would still come to pass… What more can we expect! All I am asking from each of you is to have vigilance and caution. Its the only tools we possess to spare us from harm.

With all these unwanted events would my birthday still be prominent. Or will it sink down to the bottom of the pit of TRASH. I hope not…
